Overview of Forest LiDAR services

Each project is scoped to your site and objective. After capture, our Analyser fuses LiDAR, multispectral, thermal and RGB into one aligned grid and reports the KPIs that matter.

Forestry Inventory

Stocking density, survival counts, canopy height models and species/age breakdowns to support planting, restocking and audit requirements. Our inventories help identify gaps, assess growth and guide replanting strategies with precision.

Nursery Analytics

A/B/C grading, sapling counts, bed height averages and split-stem detection for seedling quality and nursery performance monitoring. This allows nurseries to improve consistency, manage inputs and optimise seedling survival post-planting.

Carbon Baselining

Above-ground biomass and carbon stock estimation, repeatable over time to measure sequestration and support ESG reporting. Results can be linked with offset schemes and provide defensible data for corporate carbon accounts.

Environmental Surveys

Hedgerow mapping, habitat connectivity analysis, NDVI and thermal anomaly detection, biodiversity support metrics and condition baselining. We identify risks, highlight opportunities for conservation and track environmental health.

Utilities & Corridor Mapping

DTM/DSM models for access, encroachment monitoring and vegetation clearance along utility lines, transport corridors and infrastructure. We help keep lines safe, clear and compliant with operational standards.

2D & 3D Modelling

Georeferenced orthomosaics, contours and terrain (DSM/DTM), plus textured meshes and point-cloud–derived models for planning, design and stakeholder comms. Deliverables include GeoTIFF orthos, DEM/DSM, 0.25–1 m contours (DXF/DWG), TIN/surface models, and lightweight 3D (OBJ/GLB/glTF) for web or CAD/GIS.

Reporting & Deliverables

We provide clear, professional outputs that balance technical depth with practical usability: Reports: PDF and DOCX, with both detailed analysis and executive summaries. GIS-ready layers: GeoTIFF and GeoPackage for seamless integration into mapping workflows. Data exports: CSV summaries for quick reference or further processing. QGIS projects: One-click project files for immediate visualisation and exploration. Soarvo interactive map: Secure, shareable web-based map viewer for clients and stakeholders. Clients get the best of both worlds — in-depth technical detail where needed, and concise, accessible outputs that support quick decisions.

Truth plots (ground validation)

Truth plots are small, fixed sample areas we measure on the ground to validate and calibrate our aerial outputs. Each plot is RTK-surveyed for precise location, then recorded for species, DBH, total height, survival and condition, with photos and notes.

We compare field measurements against our CHM (canopy height), inspect local DTM quality, and review stocking/survival counts to quantify accuracy and any bias. Where needed, we adjust models so your KPIs reflect on-the-ground truth—not just pixels and points.
